Corseford School

Corseford School provides specialist education for children and young people with complex physical support needs. We provide school and residential accommodation to children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18.  The facilities are purpose built and comprise of classrooms each with a range of up-to-date ICT equipment and software, dining facilities, medical and social care facilities, soft play room with sensory facilities, main hall and hydrotherapy pool.

The school excels at supporting its students to fulfil their educational potential.

We support our students through individualised education plans developed in line with ‘A Curriculum for Excellence’ and National Qualifications.

We gear our teaching skills and experience towards supporting young people to achieve qualifications through that curriculum from Access 1 to Intermediate 1 levels.

We encourage our Students to have a voice in decision making via the School Council, and on a more personal basis through participation in reviews and transition meetings. School staff also support a wide range of inclusive out of school activities in partnership with local schools.
